It could happen...maybe one day.....an armature scientist built a small size
fusion reactor to generate electricity! ..a reactor that generate more
energy output than energy input.

Think about the past history, most important discovery and invention were
done by individual scientist, (not by a group of highly paid research
scientist)

I think he was mocking the misspelling of amateur.

As for the trials and tribulations of fusion physicsts, you are
correct in claiming we are trying to make it work. We are all working
hard to make it work.
